Blood cancer is different from other cancers. Here the diagnosis is not settled by a single report. The exact subtype is known only after putting three things together: the bone marrow examination, flow cytometry, and the cytogenetic or molecular testing. The treatment changes completely with that subtype, so it is worth checking once that it was pinned down correctly.
